So, i'm back working on and off on my next Avatar after the Rocker (Check him out!).

This time I'm doing my second human model, and first female avatar for VRchat. With each new Avatar, I aim to learn a few more tricks to improve them over the last ones. This time round I hope to achieve;

Better Face Tracking
Novel costume interactions (like the Bean Avatars rolling selves)
More Detailed Design

Now I know how the face tracking works, I want to try building my own animator as a 2nd option to go along the public template I used with Rocker. Above you can see some of my test expressions in Blender, this and more independent control over each eyebrow is what I want to try to get working in VRChat!

With the Rocker, I kind of went into Blender and "Edit cube till look like man". This time I want to try planning things a little more to get more detail. So, I've attempted to do some honest to god concept sketches for the costume design. My aim for this Avatar, is a Comfy Cool + Slightly Punk look.

I can't pretend to have in depth market research of what people in VRChat want, but I think I've managed to get a nice amount of detail into this design that is passably stylish. Still any feedback would be appreciated on what would make for popular female VR Avatar design.

And to round up this New Avatar development update, HANDS. I've been away from character modeling for quite a while before starting to make Avatars for VRChat this year, so my stock of pre-existing bits to use as basis are... well the rocker guy and Bird head. Neither of which would work for a female model since the Rockers hands were modeled deliberately gaunt.

It took quite a few attempts - that I refuse to show - but I now have a second hand in my smooth with sharp edges polygon style, giving me 2 distinct designs to use as basis for this and future Avatars. My hope is the more of these models I do, I can slowly build up a good stock of body bits (God that sounds bad out of context) to make modeling future characters with good fine details faster as I go.

Well, this turned out to be a longer update than I thought, hope I wasn't too long winded, people seemed to like the Rocker Avatar dev updates, and I left it a bit long before posting the updates for this ones development.

The tldr, working on new punk female Avatar now, with fancy hands and better face tracking, let me know if people like the Costume design sketches, I don't know how fashion works.
